  • Support of hard disk monitoring to better accommodate USB attached hard disks
  • Better support for backup to hard disks

  • Added support for Sony 400V, 420C, 500V, 520C, and 700V tape drives
  • Ability to manually set tape drives that support compression to not compress through their configuration switches. This is a feature in the 1Safe software to select to turn off compression. In other words, to override the compression DIP switch on the hard drive when the DIP switch is set to compress. So a user can select to not compress the data through the software user interface when the tape drive DIP switch configuration is set to compress the data.
  • Backward read of compatible Sony tapes for the tape drives 400C, 500C, and 700C. For example, this provides the ability to read tapes using the Sony "V" model tape drives that were initialized with the Sony "C" tape drives.
